Cuisine from Coorg uses coconut in plenty. Our chutneys are no exception. We make chutney with coriander, raw mango, mango ginger, bitter orange, jackfruit seeds … but with a common ingredient – coconut. Here is a chutney that we eat with akki roti. Packed with the goodness of roasted white sesame, this is a quick, easy, and nutritious chutney recipe.

  • For the Chutney

  • For the Chutney

    Combine all ingredients for the chutney and grind to a smooth paste. Add water gradually as required.

  • Tempering

    Heat oil in a seasoning ladle.

  • Add the mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add the curry leaves and remove from fire immediately. Pour over the chutney.

  • Enjoy with akki roti.
