  • Chickpeas: 1 cup (soaked overnight or 8 to 10 hours)
  • Bay leaf: 1
  • Parsley (optional): 2 sprigs
  • Peeled garlic: 5-6 cloves
  • Extra virgin olive oil (I used Bertolli which has a slightly strong taste that I like): 2-3 tbsp
  • Roasted sesame seeds: 1 tbsp or 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil: 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Dry red chilli (crushed): 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
