  • Mix all three ingredients together. (you can use the empty condensed milk tin to measure out the other two ingredients). Blend well with an electric blender or hand whisk till the mixture of homogeneous. Pour it in a dish with a lid.

  • Pour some water in a pressure cooker and keep a rack in it. Place the lidded dish on this rack and close the pressure cooker. Keep it on high gas flame for the steam to build up.

  • Let it steam for 10 minutes (5 whistles of the pressure cooker). Let it cool and take out the dish once the steam evaporates.

  • It can be served plain or with any chopped fruit (mango, grapes, kiwi).

Special Care

  • Important Discovery: Though I mentioned 1:1:1 for ingredients, it comes out better if you keep the milk and curd a little less than the Mithai Mate condensed milk.

  • Cool before you refrigerate ( at least 4 hours). Leave outside for 10-15 minutes before unmoulding.

  • Garnish with nuts, seasonal fresh fruit or coulis
