- Breadcrumbs: ¾ cup (I usually use rusk crushed with a rolling pin. Avoid rusks that are elaichi (cardamom) flavoured. Use unflavoured rusk.)
- Sugar: ¾ cup
- Milk: 1 ½ cups
- Eggs (beaten): 2
- Fresh coconut (grated): I cup
- Tinned pineapple (diced): 150-200 gm (I usually use about 1 ½ cups or a little more)
- Baking powder: 1 tsp
- Butter (unsalted): 50 gm (melted to be able to mix better)
- Pinch of salt
- Rum: 2-3 tbsp
