  • Breadcrumbs: ¾ cup (I usually use rusk crushed with a rolling pin. Avoid rusks that are elaichi (cardamom) flavoured. Use unflavoured rusk.)
  • Sugar: ¾ cup
  • Milk: 1 ½ cups
  • Eggs (beaten): 2
  • Fresh coconut (grated): I cup
  • Tinned pineapple (diced): 150-200 gm (I usually use about 1 ½ cups or a little more)
  • Baking powder: 1 tsp
  • Butter (unsalted): 50 gm (melted to be able to mix better)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Rum: 2-3 tbsp
