Me and my hubby were in Ambala for a few months. We discovered this small shop, Prakash Coffee House, in Sadar Bazaar, Ambala Cantt.
This place serves the best paneer sandwich ever along with coffee. Paneer is loved by everyone. Also, you get the best quality of paneer, milk, curd, and ghee in Haryana. Here’s my version of the masaledar paneer sandwich.

  • Slice the paneer into 4 thick slices and place on a plate. Sprinkle some salt, chaat masala, and red chilli powder over them and set aside for a few minutes.

  • Chop the onion, cucumber, green chilli, and fresh coriander finely. Add the lemon juice, salt, and chaat masala. Mix all the ingredients well to get a kachumber salad.

  • Butter each bread slice on one side. Spread ½ tsp of the mint-coriander chutney on each bread slice. Place a paneer slice and kachumber salad on 4 slices. Top each of these with the other 4 bread slices.

  • Heat a non-stick tawa and brush it with some butter. Place the sandwich in the pan and let it cook on a low flame. Flip it over till both sides are golden and crisp.
