Adds a little jaan to all meals.
Cut brinjal into D-shaped slices (not too thin). Rub salt and turmeric and set aside for about 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl take the besan. Add kalonji and a pinch of salt. Now add some water and make a batter of dosa batter consistency. Add a few drops of mustard oil as well.
Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip each slice of brinjal into the batter taking care not to over-coat the brinjal slices. Deep fry individually. Serve hot.
